Special Events
The Windsor Police Auxiliary assists with over 70 volunteer events each year. Our officers log in over 10,000 total volunteer hours as a unit each year. From Fireworks and The Canada Day Parade to The Santa Claus Parade the members of the Windsor Police Auxiliary can be found assisting at traffic points and guiding citizens around the traffic closures to their destinations.
There are times when the entire Windsor Police Auxiliary Unit is called upon to assist for a Special Event. These include:
Large events are mandatory for all Auxiliary officers to attend as these events require a lot of personnel to monitor many traffic points to ensure the public's safety.
