During the Spring of 2015 and Fall of 2016, The Windsor Police Community Service's Branch along with local students from Westview Freedom Academy, in partnership with "Our West End" neighbourhood renewal , paricipated in the 'Tag-Out Graffiti" Mural Project.  TAG-OUT is a police crime initiative focusing on graffiti eradication and urban renewal in Windsor, ON.

The program involved Windsor Police Officers, local high school students and "Our West End" volunteers coming together to clean up graffiti and replace it with an Eco-friendly and Cultural Diversity themed murals in high visibility west end location.  These project highlighted the artistic talents of our local youth and helped to create a positive and beautiful mural to prevent future graffiti in our west end community.

Under the supervision of Mrs. Emily Carruthers - Art Dept. Head for Westview Freedom Academy, Our West End program coordinator Tamara Murray and local Windsor Police Community Service Officer Deanna Lamont, students designed and applied these mural's as part of their school art curriculum.

The purpose of TAG-OUT is to bring awareness to our local youth on the negative consequences of graffiti and help empower them to make positive choices and invest in their community.

Please see the below pictures of the completed spring 2016 mural project located at 2275 Tecumseh Rd W., which is now an official Pokemon Stop!!!! (for all those seeking Pokemon's in the West End of town); as well as, the Fall 2016 mural project located on the east wall of West View Freedom Academy located at 1375 California Ave. Windsor, ON.  This mural celebrates the cultural diversity of our community, particularlity the student  and serves as a reminder that together we can stop graffiti.
