Victim
Quick Response Program (VQRP)
VQRP
provides immediate assistance to eligible victims of crime. Services include
emergency home repairs, immediate safety planning and counselling resources,
among other services.

Victim Impact Statements
The
victims voice in the criminal justice system; by offering them a forum where
they can describe to the court and the offender how the crime has affected them
physically, financially and emotionally.

Restitution
If
ordered by the criminal court, requires the offender to pay an amount directly
to the victim to cover monetary loses or property damaged in the crime.

Publication Ban
A
publication ban is a court order, which prohibits the public or media from
disseminating certain details of an otherwise public judicial procedure. In
Canada, publication bans are most commonly issued when the safety of the victim
or witness may be hindered, or when the crime involves a child.
